The project serves the particularly, in our days, urgent need for greater involvement of citizens in the development of a united Europe.

FOCUS Project Activities

Within the program "FOCUS" will take place four events

These events aim to highlight the importance of the social economy and its organizations (cooperatives, social enterprises, voluntary organizations, charities, non-governmental organizations, etc.) in response to the economic crisis and promoting local development to small traditional and productive local communities but also in strengthening European citizenship (active European citizenship), and reducing the democratic deficit at national and European level.

The events aim at

  • understanding the value of European Union
  • informing citizens about the functioning of European institutions
  • deepening the debate on the future of Europe
  • exchanging experiences and best practices on social engagement opportunities
